Ireland Photos

I havent made a post in a while, so I guessed I would make one with some photos from Ireland, showing some edits that I am going to use for my art project. The good thing about this is they dont really need to make a lot of sense, and can be edited in any way, regardless of how skill/mindless the editing is. Either way, enjoy!

White Lies and Cameras and the likes...

It feels good to be in Costa and not be revising! So, to combat this boredom, I will create a new blog post.
I dont really have much to be writing about, so I may switch to more musical theme for the time being.

On the drive up here, I listened to my recently arrived copy of To Lose My Life by the White Lies (shame it didnt arrive early enough to get signed!) I have to say, the lyrics are almost all as beautiful as they are meaningful, rivalling even the Editors, who are, in my eyes, the best lyricists I listen to. Well, that said, they are just as depressing too!   That's another good point to the White Lies significantly more electric second album, "Ritual". It is far less depressing. Although, on second thoughts, I'm not sure if that is a good thing; they suit that kind of style best, and it doesn't sound quite right otherwise!

That's my musical input for now, I'm not going to go into an essay, lest I make a fool of myself with my poor musical critical literature.

In other news, I have finally 'committed' to my A-Level choices; Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Japanese. It should be an interesting two years ahead!

In even more slightly more related news, I am looking to buy a decent camera, and finally upgrade from a humble compact to an (D)SLR. As I don't know too much about cameras specifically, if you have any suggestions/experience, please comment. (not that I'm expecting any comments, but oh well, nothing wrong with wishful thinking.)

Also, in case you are wondering why I am in a Costa at 22:13, its because I'm not. This was a draft started a few days ago, but I decided to keep it so I could have a bit of a ramble about the White Lies, and didnt have the heart to delete my somewhat pointless introduction.

A Levels and Deadlines!

Gah! Its the time of year where we need to come up with our A Level options. Im still pretty sure I want to do my previously mentioned subjects, but I fear that I am lacking direction. I know I would like to do something in science, or, failing that, IT.

If anyone has any good course suggestions for uni (I like to look ahead) then they would be greatly appreciated. But other than that, things are still busy with deadlines n shit. However, since today, my science revision (hehe) is now over, as our exam has passed. Not amused about getting Chlorine and Fluorine mixed up, but oh well.

As with art, I was told that I could be achieving as high as 78/80 or even above, which is not only unbelievable (I'm certainly not the most skilled of artists) but a massive load of my shoulders! Although, I suppose it could be moderated down, lets not think about that though. As with regards to graphics, the only deadline left, really, things are starting to come together. Just a lot of CAMing to come!

Infor-gay-tion evening

Well, things are pretty mahusively busy at the moment, so I mightnt do any updates for a while. I have graphics and ICT and art deadlines, not to mention a science exam. However, the science exam is hilariously easy, so im not really worried about that. And for graphics I still have about a month, or atleast till the end of half term, and I dont have that much to do, atleast compared to some people; im basically just finishing things off. With art, also, I only have a few pages to tidy up, and a bit of final piece to finish, shouldnt take too long. And with ICT, well thats easy enough, only takes a few minuites to do one of the 'essays'. So I suppose Im quite happy that I can deal with these pressures, and I find that the times that I am happy during these times, are the happiest times Im happy, as I know that I can cope, and end up doing well.

Thanks for listening to my ramblings that probably dont make any sense, but hey, I need someone to talk to when im bored at 11:05!

Also, incase youre interested, I have decided to stop with my art et.c., and am wanting to take Chemistry, Physics, Maths and Japanese!

More rants about Buses

(Continuation of Irish photos)
Well, today wasn't too bad, other than that I had to get the bus, and my iPod was out of battery; a fate worse than death. Or, at least a fate worse than listening to other peoples ridiculously loud rap music, and the sound of people eating chicken and chips...

Goddam Blogspot Formatting :(
Ireland's Eye and Howth Pier

Something resembling a palm tree... In Ireland?!

The journey didn't start off too bad, I managed to get out on time, but when I got to the bus stop I realised that I had no change. Typical first day back thing to happen. Well, I got onto the bus and immediately said, "Excuse me, could I owe you some money?". Thankfully, for the second time in a couple of months, the driver, who looked rather foreign, started at me in a bemused fashion, and soon waved me on to the bus without paying.

So, things appeared to be looking up, but obviously that couldn't last for long. The next stop, two small children sporting ridiculously luminous orange turbans, sat directly behind me. Unfortunately, it wasnt long before their loud banter turned into a game of 'bogeys'. My face lost all signs of emotion other than the standard bleak outlook expected of someone using Slough public transport, with someone behind them shouting so loud that your ear hurts.
Howth and Ireland's Eye (From another angle)

Then it just went from annoying to disgusting. The first, slightly amusing, comment made by the pair was, "Look! That building is a bogey", which of course incited guffaws from both of them. The next few lines I really don't want to go into for many reasons; one, it was pretty damn disgusting and I'm sure you don't want to know about it, two, I don't want my blog to look like a rant site about children on public transport.

To top it all off, somehow, it had managed to start raining in a deceptively light way, which you only notice the err, 'moisturising', effects of when you get home. But of course, as if that was enough fail for the day, I was greeted by laughter from my sister and mother, who had tried to pick me up from school. It was only then that I realised that it was Wednesday today, and not Monday, and I didn't have to take the bus anyway.
Thanks for reading and/or looking!

England!

Well, Im back in England. I would be happy, and I had a good trip, but the thought of getting up for school tommorow when getting up before 12 is a challenge, is unimaginable.

I shall upload the many photos I took over christmas and edits (if I do any) in the coming weeks.

Oh, and happy belated Christmas!
